Melanie trained as a veterinary nurse in the UK. After gaining a veterinary nursing degree in 2007 with honours, getting married to Nick, and working in various roles (including Head Nurse) in the UK she was finally dragged off to New Zealand.
Since then she has been veterinary nursing part-time at PAWS, managing the accounts, pay and managing the clinic with Nick.
Nick and Mel have two children Peter and Charis, keeping her busy in her "spare time".
